Cloud Service Models : IaaS - PaaS – SaaS

Cloud Computing has three models: IaaS – Infrastructure as a Service PaaS – Platform as a Service SaaS – Software as a Service IaaS – Infrastructure as a Service IaaS or Infrastructure as a Services is a set of core capabilities like compute, storage, networking and virtualization. With IaaS implementation there is no need for the organization to have an onsite data center. It would take days to spin up a server in a client’s data center, whereas IaaS providers deploy and manage pre-configured and virtualized hardware like EC2 in Amazon Web Services and enable users to spin up virtual machines in minutes. IaaS also enables organizations to run any amount of workload without really caring about the compute capabilities when they are in cloud as they can scale in or scale out their compute requirements based on the workload.
